It all started with Marcela’s first love, Georgie the Maltese.

At first, Marcela didn’t want the responsibility of having a little life depending on her but because of her condition( epilepsy ) her doctor insisted that a dog would make things easier. 

Even though she had gotten her seizures under control and hadn’t had any since 2009,  Marcela suffered with the side effects of her medication. Every time her doctor had to change her medication or prescribe a new one things could get complicated and that is where a furry best friend would be the most amazing solution. 

In 2015 Marcela decided to adopt Georgie. Even though Georgie was about 10 years old when Marcela rescued him, he was trained to keep his past owner calm based on the health issues she had. He adapted to Marcela in the most magical way. So, in this instance, we can all say that Georgie rescued Marcela. 

 After the drama that a visit to the groomer with Georgie had caused, Marcela decided to take online classes just to groom Georgie herself.

Georgie looked so cute that friends began to ask Marcela to groom their dogs as well. Then neighbors began to inquire, and then their friends, etc...etc.

After her doctor took her off the extra medications and she saw how much her life had changed Marcela decided to take more advanced grooming classes and take it all to the next level. 

She saw how these lovely creatures can make life so amazing. She saw that a solution for a bad situation can be the step to the best chapter of our lives. 

After Georgie passed away Marcela adopted Charlie( Pekatese ) and Wendy(Pomeranian) who, btw, control everything. They only let her think she is the boss but that is another story. 

  Even though family and friends pushed her to open a storefront Marcela felt that the dogs accepted grooming much better on a home environment. In 2019 she decided to expand a bit by moving in to a bigger house and building a small shop on her backyard. Then on 2020 mobile grooming became the best option based on COVID restrictions.

 Even though a storefront wasn't her main option she agreed that her creativity and care deserved more. Marcela sold her mobile grooming van and after lots of non-stop hard work on June 2023 she opened the first Dog Beauty Salon storefront in the city of Westlake Village, CA. where most people get mesmerized by the moment they walk in.

Marcela continues to upgrade her skills and knowledge studying on a variety of seminars and workshops with master groomers and vets from all around the world.
